Files never leave this device
Surgical, not destructive
Deletes document info, XMP and image metadata in place — forms, attachments, layers and accessibility structure survive — and reports exactly what changed.
Reading files…
What it solves
Author names, editing history and hidden properties travel with a PDF long after anyone remembers writing them. This tool surgically deletes the document info dictionary, the XMP packet and the metadata inside images, while forms, attachments, layers and accessibility structure stay intact — then it reports three lists: removed, preserved, not checked.
Embedded fonts and earlier revisions cannot be inspected here, so the tool never claims a completely clean file — the not-checked list states exactly why.
Common uses
Check what a client, recruiter or authority would actually receive before you attach the file.
Strip author names and hidden properties from reports before uploading them to a public site.
Remove names, amounts or identifiers from the copy meant for someone who must not see them.

Limits worth knowing
A check that could not run is reported as not checkable. The absence of a finding is never proof of a clean file.
Every operation produces a new download; the original file on this device is never overwritten.
Very large or image-heavy documents are limited by the memory and processing power of this device.
Frequently asked questions
No. The document is read and processed in the browser on this device; its bytes are never sent to a server.
No — and that is why they never promise it. Each check states whether it found something, ruled it out, or could not inspect it. Whatever could not be checked is listed separately and is never presented as a clean result.
No. Each tool works on a copy and produces a new download. Keep the original until you have verified the result.
Because a browser cannot inspect every structure a PDF can carry — earlier revisions and embedded fonts, for example, stay out of reach. The report is limited to what was genuinely verified.
