eBay report selector
Choose the report from the question you need to answer. Orders describes what sold, Transaction explains payment movements and payouts, and Earnings reviews profit by order using costs recorded in eBay.
| What you need | Report | What it contains | What it cannot prove | Next step |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| See sold items and fulfil orders | Orders report | Order and item details used for sales operations. | It is not the payments ledger and cannot explain fees or payouts by itself. | Use the Orders export in Seller Hub |
| Audit fees, refunds, labels, and adjustments | Transaction report | Type, Net amount, order references, fee fields, and other payment movements. | It does not know your product acquisition cost unless you add a separate cost file. | Open Transaction Report Analyzer |
| Calculate profit by order and SKU | Transaction report + cost file | The payment ledger plus your SKU or Item ID costs. | Missing costs remain visible; the analyzer does not silently estimate them. | Open eBay Profit Analyzer |
| Match transactions to payout batches | Transaction report | Payout ID, linked Net amounts, payout date and status when included. | A bank comparison needs an actual payout transfer amount; the tool does not invent one. | Open Payout Reconciliation |
| Find loss-making orders and missing item costs | Earnings report | Gross amount, expenses, refunds, Your cost, and Net order earnings by order. | It is not a payout report and excludes labels paid outside eBay funds. | Open Earnings Report Analyzer |

Report names, eligibility, fields, and download locations can vary by account or market. SolveKit detects the file structure before calculating and keeps every report on your device.
No. Orders is designed around sold items and fulfilment. Transaction is the Payments ledger used to audit Net amount, fees, refunds, labels, adjustments, and payout links.
Use Earnings when you already enter item cost in eBay and want an order-level review. Use Transaction plus your own cost file when you need product or SKU matching, a wider payment ledger, or payout grouping.
The customizable Transaction report can contain Payout ID, payout date, and payout status. Earnings is organized by order and is not suitable for payout reconciliation.
eBay associates later expenses and refunds with the selected orders. A return, dispute, fee credit, or other order-linked movement can therefore change the report after the original sale.
