Transparent methodology

What the result includes—and what it does not

Updated SolveKit technical review — indexability QA

Built for site owners diagnosing one public page that is missing, excluded or behaving unexpectedly in search.

Calculation method

  1. 1Fetch the public URL, follow every accepted redirect and record the final HTTP response.
  2. 2Read meta robots, X-Robots-Tag, canonical, language, initial content and the site's general robots.txt rules.
  3. 3Return the strongest demonstrated conflict with the exact response evidence and a verification step.

Assumptions and limits

  • The checker can explain technical eligibility signals but cannot read a search engine's private index state without that engine's authenticated inspection product.
  • robots.txt controls crawling and can prevent a crawler from seeing a noindex directive; it is not itself a guaranteed removal instruction.
  • JavaScript-rendered changes are not claimed as initial-HTML findings.

Worked example

Sitemap URL returning noindex

Input: One product URL that returns 200 and appears in sitemap.xml.

Output: A critical sitemap/indexability conflict if its HTML or response header declares noindex.

How to use it

From public URL to verified release.

  1. 1Choose the release mission and declare whether the scope should be public.
  2. 2Keep the page open while respectful batches read public HTML and cross page signals.
  3. 3Export the evidence, deploy the fix, then load the project to verify the same scope.

Built for trust

Evidence without a false promise.

  • No registration or paywall before your result.
  • Only public URLs are fetched; HTML is not written into the project.
  • Ready to ship describes the checked scope; it never guarantees indexing or ranking.

Frequently asked questions

How can I check if a URL is technically indexable?

A public page normally needs a successful final response, crawl access, no blocking noindex directive and coherent canonical signals. This checker reads those signals together and shows the evidence instead of reducing them to one score.

Why is my page not indexed even when this check passes?

Technical eligibility is not an indexing promise. Discovery, duplication, content usefulness, crawl demand, manual actions and search-engine decisions can still keep a technically accessible page out of the index.

Does robots.txt remove a page from Google?

Not reliably. Google documents robots.txt as a crawl-control file. A blocked URL can still be known through links, and blocking it can prevent the crawler from reading a noindex directive on the page.
