Update Shopify Prices from a CSV

Needs two files: your Shopify products export and the supplier's CSV or XLSX price list. Applies margin and rounding rules, and shows every change before you import.

    CSV or XLSX, exported from your store admin.

  2. The supplier's file

    Any CSV or Excel layout, read as it comes.

Before you import it

The file contains

Handle · Options · Variant SKU
Identity only — Shopify matches the row by them.
Variant Price
The new price from your rules; untouched variants repeat their exported value.

Shopify keeps every value whose column is absent from the file, and all variants of each touched product are included so none can be dropped on import.

It never touches

  • Titles and descriptions
  • Images
  • SEO, URLs and handles
  • Collections and tags
  • Publication status
  • Products and variants: none created or deleted

Every change is reviewed on screen before a file exists.

How it decides

The method, in three steps.

  1. 01Costs are read from the supplier's column with locale-aware parsing (12,40 and 12.40 both work, currency symbols ignored) and each interpretation is shown before the run.
  2. 02Pricing rules preview on your real rows: the full chain — cost, markup, rounding, floor — is displayed for sample products before anything is generated.
  3. 03Every price change is listed with before, after and percentage in a filterable review; the file is only generated from that reviewed plan.

What it assumes

    Rounding to .95/.99 always rounds up, protecting the configured margin.

    Prices with unreadable cost cells are skipped and listed in the report rather than guessed.

  • 03

    The output touches Variant Price only (plus identity columns); titles, images, SEO and collections are not in the file and therefore cannot change.
